I’ve not had a chance to view all of the entries, but one you definitely don’t want to miss is David Lowery’s Some Analog Lines. I had enjoyed reading David’s philosophical and everyday musings on his blog for a few months before I ever saw this piece, which considers the poetics of film and video, analog and digital. I don’t know how non-filmmakers might enjoy it, but it’s one of the finest essay films (short or feature) that I’ve seen in a long, long time.
